Who is Roy Leland?
I have been doing this type of work all my life. My father was in construction and so was his father. My mother's father also had a custom carpentry business and woodworker's shop . I guess its in the blood .
But I didnt start as a carpenter. I started sweeping floors. Yup. Funny I still sweep the floor. My uncle always said keep the job clean. This is a smart life choice in many ways. I stay organized and the quality of work that I do really shows though.
There's really no job to small. And some jobs can be very interesting and mentally challenging. I love finding solutions to make your lives at home more comfortable.
How Big is "BIG"? As far as big goes, well there haven't been any projects that I couldn't tackle. I have worked with some very talented people over the years and my solid relationships with them and their crews mean that I am comfortable working on any sized project. I have built mansions from the ground-breaking stage to handing the keys to the new owners.

I have been using heavy equipment my whole life. Whether I am clearing a lot for initial construction, leveling a yard, building decorative gardens, building koi ponds, or even creating a multi-acre home pond...I can handle it. And, more importantly, I LOVE DOING THIS!
Some of the woodworking jobs are fun...finishing a custom kitchen with 12 inch crown molding. It looks so incredible. I love seeing other people's dreams come true. Whether it is a new dream home, first home, or deck where someone can finaly relax. Kitchens and baths are the focal points in a home. You will always get your money back (say the realtors) when you renovate those rooms. Plus, you really get to enjoy LIVING in a great house. Whether its new construction or a remodeling job, there is lots of room for creativety. I pride myself in having that creativity and experience to know what would work in your house.
